One of the most in-tune pianists around today, Kenny Werner might be best known for his treatise on improvisation, "Effortless Mastery - Liberating the Master Musician Within"--and you might consider this 2005 recording from the NYU campus to be a teaser into the insights within the book. It's a bit of a long video, but it's worth every second:
